Sailor Dress & Homemade Fashion Feature:

I love the old sailor dresses from the 1950s. When I finished sewing it I showed it to my mom and she was like, “I used to wear one of those when I was a kid.” So that was kind of funny. After lots of bribing, I finally got my little brother to help me with the photo shoot. I am now 2 candy bars short because of it and that’s worth a lot in my house. We live on a steady diet of Anti-Cancer-Soup, (don’t ask), and vegetables, so every type of junk food is valuable. The photos were greatly inspired from the music video for the song Hoppipolla by sigur ros. It really brings out the imagination of a kid, and has beautiful instrumental parts.

I take all my photos with a tripod and self timer.

Green Fall Jacket:

I used a pattern for this jacket. I LOVE the Built by Wendy patterns. This is pattern number 3835. It was really easy and I learned some new techniques. Patterns are always a good way to learn stuff. I got the fabric from my altime favorite spot to shop for fabric....Wal-Mart. It's so cheap and you can get some pretyy nice fabric there.

More Winter Appropriate:

It’s definitely warmer than a tank top. This is my first , where for the first time I don't look like a marshmallow in it. I had fun making this. Oh and believe me I was cold in those photos. It’s was about 18 degrees out side with wind-chill. I wish that it would snow 3ft! I’m mean like, if you’re going to have winter let there be snow! Lot’s of snow.

Summer Sewing Fun:

Follow my blog with bloglovin

I miss summer so I made a tank top. Usually I loathe summer and it's wretched heat...mainly because I burn like a fire cracker on the 4th of July. So here's my ode to summer in sewing form.
