R.I.P. Foil dress:

Hey you guys, I thought you might like to see…The Foil Dress’s DESTRUCTON…dun, dun, dun!! Haha. I got it back from the Museum of Art a couple of weeks ago and when I got home I had a little fun with it. It was so relieving to get rid of it…but I think my mom could have used a couple of tissues.

P.S. Sorry the video isn't upright, my computer wouldn't let me change it.

Butterfly:

Hey you guys, yesterday I took my camera out and had some fun. I felt like a nerd walking around with this big painted butterfly on my face. Haha it was pretty embarrassing; but hey, you need that every now and then…at least that what I tell myself. I got this romper awhile back at Goodwill, but it was 6 sizes too big. So I made it too fit me. Have a good weekend.

Honey:

This was my first time ever of making a pair of pants (shorts,) that don’t have elastic at the top. :) It’s pretty exciting. I used the Built by Wendy 3850 pattern. I was lost in the pattern for about ¾ of the time. I messed up quite a bit, but I’m pretty happy with the way they turned out. The sweater I refashioned to fit me….XXL in men’s isn’t really my size.

The Cookie Thief:

I’ve been reading a lot of Sherlock Holmes lately so I thought, why not a photo tribune? I amazingly got my little brother in on the action. He’s wearing my trench coat that I made…it was a little small on him though.

David: “My circulation is being cut off!!”
Me: “Just stay there for 2 more seconds!”
David: “I can’t!!!”
… let’s just say I owe him big time. I’ll probably have to put my dog on a diet from all the Oreos she ate. She doesn't obey the command, “Leave it,” very well. I’ll have to work with her on that. Haha. But overall it was a very fun day.

Fun in the Sun:

Hey you guys. I love the cutout-back dresses, so I made one. I finally got it finished! It’s been in my closet, half done for like a month. I’m horrible when it comes time for finishing. I have this half finished trench coat on my dress form that’s been there for 6 months….I probably should finish it sometime. Hope you’re having a good day.

Magnolia Tree

So, I’ve really been into all the 19th century type of movies lately. I saw “The House of Mirth” the other day and was inspired to make a dress ….I never want to hand sew again because of it, but I’m happy with the way it turned out.

Oh and if you’re wondering who’s on the broche, its Claude Debussy. He’s my favorite composer…well one of them anyway.

Foggy Weather

I love fog! It’s really one of nature’s greatest tricks. I mean you can’t go around all sneaky in the sun; nope, you need the fog. I went thrifting the other day and I got this dress, but it was 6 sizes too big, so I took it in. Now it actually fits and I shall wear it everywhere! :)
