All you have to do is write a comment with your name, favorite flavor of ice cream and e-mail address. I’ll randomly select a winner on Firday and if it’s you I’ll contact you with all the information. Thanks you guys! :)

Rollin on the River

I’m baaaaaaaaaack. I’m so sorry for not posting for a while. My computer has had some problems and I haven’t been able to use it for the past 3 weeks! So sorry If you've sent me an e-mail in the past month or so. My computer deleted all of my e-mails so any that has been sent to me within the past month I haven't received. But now thank goodness my computer is working and I'm back in business. :D

First of all…my vintage roller skates came in!!! :D I LOVE them, I think I’ll just wear them just as regular shoes…but first I might want to learn to skate better. When I was taking these photos I almost fell into a creek because I couldn’t stop. Haha, glad that didn’t happen!

This jacket I made a couple of weeks ago for my Etsy shop that’s opening this Monday. :D I made it out of some type of navy fabric that I got a long time ago. I never realized how annoying piping is. Ugh if I got one millimeter off in measuring I had to re-do it all over again. But thank goodness I finally got the hang of it after awhile. After I finished it I didn't really want to sell it, but I’m saving up for a new camera so sacrifices need to be made….I’ll miss you Stella, we had good times together. Haha.

So this weekend I’ll be measuring and taking pictures of all my items that will be up for sale and I’ll also be having a give away on Monday for all of you guys. :D

Flower Among the Weeds:

Sorry for the slowness in posting again. My computer has something wrong with it and it’s been really annoying! It won’t let me do hardly anything…hopefully it will get fixed soon.

I’m so excited!! I just ordered a pair of vintage roller skates!!!!! I’ve wanted a pair ever since I can remember! Why you ask? Because they are the coolest thing that you can put on your feet! :D

I made this dress like a month ago. It’s made from jersey knit and has an open lace back. It’s pretty simple to make, but I really like it. This dress will be for sale in my Etsy shop once it opens. My beautiful friend Amanda cam over a while back and we had a fun time goofing off and taking pictures. Always a fun thing to do. :)

Hope you’re having a great day!

Bedtime lights:

I’m so sorry for not posting in a while. This is my last week of freedom before school starts, so I’ve been sewing like a mad woman. I’ve been working on a bunch of stuff for my Etsy shop that’ll be opening on September 13th…why September 13th you ask? Because it was the first day that popped into my head. Haha. I’m really excited about it!

I made this dress yesterday out of cream jersey knit that I got at Wal-mart for just a $1 a yard!! I was so happy, I’m in love with knits…although my sewing machine isn’t too keen on them. The dress is shred in the middle and has an open lace back, but you can’t really tell in the photos. I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out. I had a lot of fun with this photo shoot! The woods felt so magical and pretty….it was like I was in Neverland….but that feeling quickly went away once I thought I saw a snake….shivers. Haha. Hope you have a great day. I will be posting more often - I promise.

Sweaters and Balloons.

I’m so ready for fall!!!!!!!!!!! There was a cool spell last week and I got so excited that I went and got all of my winter sweaters out. Skip the fact that it’s still 80 degrees and humid, because I can smell fall!! Yaaaaaaay. I got this amazing sweater at Goodwill for 50c. It was too big on me so I had to sew it up. Now it fits like a glove…which I don’t know if that was a good idea, because it’s 100% wool and it itches like crazy!! But it’s so worth it for the cute, little sheep that’s on it. I also got my dress at Goodwill; again, it was too big on me, and it went all the way down to my feet so I had to fix that. But now I'm ready for fall.

Fall come as fast as you can!

Inspiration:

I love this so much! It’s so whimsical and dreamy…Oh how I wish fall would come sooner. I’m in a photography rut ( I hate ruts!) right now so I thought I’d show you some of my inspirations. This is one of my all time favorite fashion features. Every time I’m at a loss for inspiration I go and look at this. Hope it inspires you like it inspires me.

P.S. Some differnet blogs have done some interviews with me. Here are the links if you'd like to check them out. :)

Clare De Lune

I’m so ready to start sewing again!! I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t been able too. My poor Singer is turning blue, because of the lack of attention…poor thing. But all this week I’m going to do nothing but sew!!! My baby will turn back into a healthy cream in no time. No get well cards needed.

Awhile back I got an underwater housing for my camera and when my sister (Ruth) came home to visit I thought it would be the perfect time for an underwater fashion shoot. My sister is modeling my ruched gown I made. I realized something that day…underwater fashion photography is HARD! Half of the time I was just getting shots of her elbow! Haha. But at least now I know what to do next time…if I’m willing to attempt it again.
