Absolutely nothing to do with fashion or sewing.

Hello everyone! Wow, I can't believe that it's mid-July already! I've been working on a 1920s inspired lace dress this week which I'm really excited to photograph and show you. I've been playing around with different sewing techniques all this summer which has been a lot of fun and I’m learning a lot through just experimenting. I have a backload of dresses and jackets that I need to show you.

But right now, I thought that I'd show you my poor dog who has allergies right now and has to wear a cone to keep her from biting her itchy spots. When I first put it on her, she didn't move from the same spot for 4 hours. haha. I don't know if you have any pets, but Libby is the most emotional dog that I have ever met. Are your pets like that?

  1. Ahh, she's soo cute! Most corgis will tell you they are too regal to even imagine wearing the Cone of Shame!
I've had 3 corgis, and every one of them has had horrible skin allergies. The first two would chew themselves bald. My little Frida (she's 1/2 corgi, 1/2 chihuahua) just get's all slobbery and muddy if she's out in the grass too long. I'm not sure they make cones small enough for her, so I just give her frequent baths and occassional children's Benadryl.

  2. I feel pretty honoured to have the same name as your dog! A while ago our dog had a huge bandage on her paw and she limped around, and it was such a sorry sight.

  5. I have a corgi named Lucy, and I think she would freak out if she had to wear that cone! I'm really surprised that you got it to stay on her. Poor thing.

  10. Aww, shes so sad. My corgi Molly hates anything thats more than her collar. We put one of those weird dog shirts on her once (I was against it) and she was so sad she just hid under a table until we coaxed her out with some peanut butter.
