He is Risen!!!

Hey! I’ve been sewing a ton lately…mostly summer outfits. Here’s a skirt I made a couple of days ago out of an old sheet I got at Goodwill. It’s just a simple skirt with elastic at the top and pockets in the side. Have I ever told you that I LOVE pockets?!

My shirt is based off of the Sketch Book Tee by Alexa Chung for Madwell. Considering I can’t afford a $75 t-shirt, I decided to make my own. Haha. I just used a fine point sharpie and did free hand. I love Alexa Chung’s style! She’s right up there with Keira Knightly in my book. Who’s your style icon?

P.S. By beloved Barbie backpack that I take with me while I'm on photo shoots.

  1. Wow I cannot believe you made that t-shirt, and free hand too! You should sell them! I reckon Alexa (love her) would take a couple. As always totally bowled over by your creativity and skill! :)

Your hair looks adorable and you did a fantastic job on the shirt and skirt. You are incredibly talented.

  3. When I saw your photo on the front page of esty I had to check it out. I was totally shocked to discover it was a self portrait by a 16 year old! I had to look at your blog and I have been amazed. You are so talented and creative for a person so young. There is an incredible amount of freedom in who you are. I'm also so thrilled with the fact you embrace your youth. When I was your age I didn't realize how young I was-- I just wanted to be older. I'm enjoying your blog! God Bless

  7. Thank you everyone so, so much!! I really appreciate your kind words! :)

Ruth and India Zahn: Here's the tutorial that I saw on how to do it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx9Z903u9Pw&feature=related I'm horrible when it comes to describing things so I thought it'd be best to go straight to the source. Hope this helps! :)
